The Reading Nook
The nook holds an armchair (cat-dented, you notice, like the one at the cottage) and a shelf of riddle books. One lies open, a slip of paper in Edith's hand marking the page. The printed riddle reads:
I follow the day of Woden and flee the day of Frigg. Thor lent me his thunder, but in Wrenfell I am nothing โ not spoken, not printed, not kept. A cat wears my name like a bell. What am I?
On the slip of paper, Edith has written: "Obviously. And when the door asks, that is what you tell it โ right where names are written."
You memorize both.
